A diploma from St. Catherine Academy in Belize is a VIP pass to good jobs and a living wage; but the prestigious Catholic high school is totally out of reach to poor kids. That’s why a Cross Catholic scholarship to St. Catherine’s is the chance of a lifetime to escape poverty. Enjoy reading excerpts of letters from some of the impoverished students our benefactors sponsor:
I appreciate all that you have done for me truly, even though you don’t know me or have met me. It is an honor to thank you always. I plan on giving back to someone too in the future because of what you have started. I am a very hard worker and I am putting in my utmost best in my studies and future.
I know that it would have been difficult to go to school without your help so you are like a blessing in my life. I know that God will bless you because he knows the good things that you are doing.
If it weren’t for you I would not be having an education. Every day I ask God to keep blessing you for everything that you have done, so that he may give you strength to continue to do good deeds as you are doing for me.
God has blessed your hearts and made you as a model of inspiration for my future. Because of you I have a future. Because of you, a young girl grew beautiful and merciful towards life…Through you God has blessed me in a way that makes me aware every day of my life that there are good people who want to see a child’s future become a success. I may not be able to know who you are but I can ensure you that I will continue to perform my best and only my best. I hope that you may smile when you read this letter…I pray and thank God that he may continue to bless you and remember, “All things are possible through Christ!”
