Safe Haven for Babies

This is Sister Mayra Lopez. She’s the director of St. Vincent de Paul Orphanage in Quito, Ecuador. The precious baby in her arms is Estefania. She was brought to the orphanage one icy-cold night after being found abandoned in a public park at one o’clock in the morning. Today, thankfully, she’s well, warm and loved.

Hi, I just want to know how I could get a hold of anyone that speaks English from this place. My boyfriend was adopted out of there when he was 3 years old. He was born in 1988, and I was wondering how I would contact anyone from there to see what kind of information you would have on him. His name is Patricio Whitton, but his mom said that when he was there he went by the name Duran duran. He would appreciate any sort I’d information given.

    Hi, there,
There’s a group on Facebook, Ecuador Expats, who are willing to help at the St Vincente de Paul orphanage in Quito and wondering how to do so. Is the point person to contact Sister Myra Lopez? How can she be contacted. As for myself, I am a nurse nearing retirement and considering living in Quito. If this happens, I will definitely volunteer here. Thank you, peace and blessings
