With a thankful heart

Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for men, for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things. ~ Psalm 107:8-9

These verses from the Psalms are an excellent reminder of why we give thanks to God — not just on Thanksgiving, but every day.

In the same way, we at Cross Catholic are very thankful for the continued support generous Catholics like you offer month after month. You have been God’s instruments to satisfy the thirsty and feed the hungry. You have helped us reach out to those hurting most in our world.

On behalf of everyone at Cross Catholic and those we serve around the world, we would like to wish you and your family a blessed Thanksgiving. As you celebrate with your loved ones, please say a prayer for those in need around the world:

O God, when I have food,
help me to remember the hungry;
When I have work,
help me to remember the jobless;
When I have a home,
help me to remember those who have no home at all;
When I am without pain,
help me to remember those who suffer,
And remembering,
help me to destroy my complacency;
bestir my compassion,
and be concerned enough to help;
By word and deed,
those who cry out for what we take for granted.
Amen.
