
Tony M.
Tony M. has served on the Cross Catholic communications staff since 2008, giving a voice to the poor and marginalized through words, photographs, and on-the-ground reporting. He brings to Cross Catholic his experience as a newspaper journalist, magazine writer, and new media communicator, combined with a seminary education and personal faith in Christ that have shaped his understanding of the biblical mandate to love the poor. His work with Cross Catholic has taken him around the world to meet with ministry partners and the people they serve. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, he now lives in south Florida with his wife & two sons.

Catherine M.
With a passion for international missions, a heart for the poor and a story to tell, Catherine feels blessed to join Cross Catholic Outreach’s communication team as a staff writer. After spending the last three years serving the poor in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains of eastern Kentucky, she is thrilled to continue the adventure by writing about Cross Catholic ministry partners around the world. Originally from south Florida, Catherine is happy to back in her hometown using the talents God has given her to help vulnerable families overseas and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Chris M.
Having spent the better part of two decades in the world of corporate advertising, Chris recently asked himself, “what is the one thing I can do to radically alter my life?” He found the answer at Cross Catholic Outreach. An award-winning writer who has given a voice to some of the biggest brands in the world, Chris now feels blessed to be able to give a voice to the poor and marginalized around the world. Although new to the world of nonprofit and ministry work, Chris feels called to serve, and looks forward to sharing stories of inspiration and wonder as he finds them.

Zach O.
Zach O. has been working at Cross, first as a contractor, then as a Projects Manager, since January 2010. He served in the Peace Corps in Haiti from 2002 to 2004, and continued to live in Haiti for four years after he left the Peace Corps. Zach holds a degree in Environmental Management from Indiana University and is currently working on his Master’s degree in Sustainable Development from the University of London. He is happily married to Annie, and is an overly proud father to a two-and-a-half-year-old aspiring artist, Isla.

Ruthie A.
Growing up as the daughter of an international aid worker and a pastor, Ruthie has always been motivated by ministry work and serving others. Since she joined Cross Catholic Outreach in 2008, she has been blessed to travel the world and witness firsthand the wonderful work being accomplished through the Church. As Manager of the Communications Department, she considers it a privilege and honor to lead a team that brings stories of lives transformed for God’s glory in developing countries to American Christians.

Gina B.
Gina is excited to enter the scene as Cross Catholic Outreach’s newest staff writer. With a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Georgia, as well as a history in ministry, news writing, public relations and nonprofit communications, she feels that God has used every experience to prepare her for life with Cross. Gina is humbled to use all she has learned for the sake of the poor, to the glory of God. She hopes to continue learning and wordsmith the world into life-saving action.

Carolyn O.
Carolyn O. joined Cross Catholic Outreach in 2016. For more than 15 years, she has been building relationships with ministry benefactors, and her passion is connecting them to causes and projects close to their heart. She strives to be God’s instrument for linking American Catholics with their brothers and sisters living in the developing countries of the world. Carolyn lives in Jacksonville, Illinois with her husband, three young daughters, a beagle and a cat who is in an unofficial neighborhood ambassador.

Elyse G.
Elyse G. has worked with Cross Catholic Outreach since 2014. She earned her Master’s in International Development Administration at Western Michigan University. Alongside her education, she served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Guatemala, providing technical support to a municipal development office for a municipality located in the Guatemalan highlands. The focus of her work in Guatemala was in capacity strengthening of local governmental councils and the creation and capacity building of a multi-sector municipal water committee. Elyse lives in south Florida with her husband and infant daughter.

I was blessed today to watch on EWTN programme when i learnt of Cross Catholic Outreach and i felt moved about your services to the poor and marginalised.
I am happy that you are in Uganda and i would like to know how i can get in contact with you because i amworking with some poor and marginalised persons in Northern Uganda who went through the armed conflict.
